about
a little about me
I'm a visual storyteller with a passion for capturing the profound simplicity and unspoken beauty that surrounds us every day. Photography, to me, isn’t just about the perfect shot; it’s a way of seeing the world with wonder and reverence—a practice that teaches patience, curiosity, and attentiveness to life’s subtle details. Through this journey, I’ve come to believe that each image is a chapter in a larger story, a moment frozen in time that invites us to look deeper and feel more. I’m here not only to share my own journey but to inspire and equip you to create your own—to find art in the ordinary, depth in every image, and meaning in the moments we often overlook. Let’s explore the world through a lens of curiosity and creativity, discovering together the powerful stories waiting to be told.
Creating with Purpose and Discipline
Bokeh Bushido
The Bushi Creator Code, which is shown below, is at the heart of all my efforts. Its something I created as a guide, born from my own journey—a process that helps me stay grounded, focused, and connected to my creative purpose. Each step reflects what I've found to work for me personally, from learning to quiet self-doubt to letting go of rigid, unrealistic standards. Over time, I realized that true creative fulfillment doesn't come from chasing perfection but from honoring the unique vision within me.
This process isn’t just about producing content; it’s about creating with intention, balancing discipline with moments of rest, and replacing comparison with inner confidence. Each step is a reminder to move forward with purpose, letting go of the psychological barriers that once held me back. Through this approach, I've found clarity, depth, and joy in my work. My hope is that by sharing this process, others can find their own path, shaped by authenticity, resilience, and the courage to grow.
Inspired by the Way of Tea
(my amazing wife)
The Heart of My Craft
My greatest influence is my wife, a master of the Japanese tea ceremony, who embodies grace, patience, and the quiet power of tradition. Through her, I’ve come to understand the beauty of the “Way of Tea” (茶道, chado)—an art form that extends beyond ritual into a philosophy of mindfulness, simplicity, and respect. Watching her perform each movement with intention has taught me that creativity is not rushed; it’s nurtured with care and reverence. Her guidance reminds me that the truest art lies in presence and humility. Just as she approaches each tea preparation with dedication, I aim to bring that same intentionality and respect to my own craft, seeking beauty in every detail and harmony in each frame.

The Bushi Code emerged from my own journey—a path marked by struggles, realizations, and ultimately, transformation. When I began creating, I was often caught between the desire for validation and a deep-seated fear of inadequacy. I felt weighed down by a need for perfection, doubting my worth and wondering if my work truly mattered. It took me through cycles of self-criticism, comparison, and moments of burnout. These challenges led me to question not just what I was creating, but why I was creating in the first place.
In searching for answers, I started to notice recurring lessons. I saw that my best work came when I stepped beyond perfectionism, embraced my unique voice, and let go of the need to please others. Through reflection and practice, I came to understand that mastery was less about flawless results and more about showing up fully—embracing both effort and rest, courage and vulnerability. I realized that creativity required rhythm, resilience, and a mindset of abundance. Each insight revealed a principle, and together these principles began to form a code that I could follow—a code that I could share.
This journey of transformation, with its challenges and revelations, became the foundation of the Bushi Code. It was born out of necessity, a set of guiding principles to anchor me through every creative endeavor. Now, I share the Bushi Code not just as a philosophy, but as a process I’ve lived—a way to empower others to move past their own fears and limitations, to honor their voice, and to create with purpose and joy.
The Process Behind the Bushi Code
LITERALLY CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT…
crative community
I’m inspired by thinkers, creators, and fellow visionaries who challenge me to grow and see beyond myself.
technology that connects
From the hum of a camera’s shutter to the quiet click of a keyboard, technology allows us to transform thoughts into tangible realities. It’s the bridge between vision and creation.
the art of observation
Photography has taught me that to see clearly is to appreciate fully. The act of observation allows us to connect with the world beyond the superficial, reminding me to stay grounded and curious.
the philosophy of less
Minimalism teaches that less can mean more, both in photography and in life. Letting go of excess brings clarity, focus, and purpose to my creative process.
